In 2017, Austin ISD stopped offering the traditional summer school model for grade recovery. Instead, we are now providing academic support during the school year. For students in need of recovering or protecting their credits, Bailey Middle School is offering the district supported ACHIEVE@Bailey After School program. Based on the first 6-weeks report cards, your child failed one or more core content classes and has been identified as a student in need of academic support. The core classes include English/Lang Arts, Math, Science, US History (8th grade), Texas History (7th grade), and World Cultures (6th grade).
This semester ACHIEVE@Bailey After School sessions will begin Tuesday, October 8th and will continue through December 12th. ACHIEVE@Bailey After School sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:40 p.m.- 5:15 p.m. and students attending ACHIEVE@Bailey are expected to report immediately after 3:40 p.m. to the library where they will receive an afternoon snack and be counted present for attendance purposes. To help us plan and ensure we have the correct number of snacks and staff, please use the link provided to register your child for this session of ACHIEVE@Bailey beginning as soon as Tuesday, October 8th, 2019
